Who We Are

About Tiling Canyon Lake

A focused tile crew that takes substrate prep as seriously as the finished surface.

What We Do and Why It Matters

Tiling Canyon Lake handles residential tile installation for homes in Canyon Lake, Spring Branch, Bulverde, and Sattler. We work on floors, bathrooms, showers, and kitchen backsplashes. That's the full scope of what we do, and we keep it that way on purpose.

Specializing in one trade means the people setting tile in your home have laid thousands of square feet of it. They know the difference between a modified thinset and an epoxy mortar. They know when a floor needs a self-leveling compound before anything else happens. They know how to read a room's grout joint so the pattern hits the doorway centered instead of clipped.

Our crew is small. That means the person you speak to on the phone is connected to the people doing the work. It means accountability doesn't get lost between a salesperson and a subcontractor.

How We Approach Each Job

Every project starts with a site visit. We measure, look at the substrate, and talk through material options with you. If there's a moisture issue in a shower wall or an unlevel concrete slab, we identify it before the estimate is written, not after the tile is halfway set.

We dry-lay tile before setting it. This step gets skipped on rushed jobs, but it's the only way to catch a pattern that won't work with a room's proportions before the mortar is down. Once tiles are set and the mortar has cured, grout is applied, cleaned, and sealed in the same visit.

When we leave a job site, the space is clean, the surface is walkable, and you know exactly what was done and why.

What We Focus On

Substrate First

Tile fails at the bond layer, not at the tile itself. We assess and address the substrate before any decorative work begins.

Waterproofing in Wet Areas

Shower floors and walls get a proper waterproofing membrane, not just cement board and hope. The extra step prevents the expensive repairs that happen years later.

Layout Before Setting

Dry-laying tiles confirms the pattern works in the actual space. It also catches tiles with dimensional variation that would create lippage if set together.

Clear Communication

You'll know what's happening at each stage, what decisions need your input, and when the next phase starts. No guessing about your own home.
